CCCU
Consortium for Clean Coal Utilization

Electricity generation world-wide is dominated by coal: 40% worldwide and 50% in the U.S. Almost one-third
of the anthropogenically-derived carbon dioxide comes from the combustion of coal. Research at the CCCU
focuses on developing technologies to reduce CO2 emissions from coal-burning power plants.
